Welcome to Grosvenor House, A JW Marriott Hotel Literati Book Club. Literati takes the traditional book club idea one step further by collaborating with leading publishers to bring people together to discuss books and novels.
Literati events host a regular stream of authors who lead a discussion of their latest book with hotel residents and external guests.
Literati launched in January 2010 when the first lady of broadcast journalism, Kate Adie, discussed her recent book, Into Danger. Kate was followed by Libby Purves who presented her novel Shadow Child.
Literati at Grosvenor House continues to showcase a broad range of literary luminaries.

A fascinating investigation of English manners, SORRY! is a blend of Henry’s personal observation and fascinating historical research from Medieval times through to the present day.
An engaging, witty and compelling author, Henry Hitchings’ previous books include Dr Johnson’s Dictionary, The Secret Life of Words (for which he won the John Llewllyn Rhys Prize) and The Language Wars. He is also the theatre critic for the Evening Standard.
